OBSERVANCE OF TRUTH IN THE LIFE OF REV. PRABHUSHREE
The life of Rev. Prabhushree means a complete ‘Darshan’ or the principle of ‘Truth’. If one desires to understand ‘Truth’ in its true sense, then it can be done so upon the perusal of the life or Rev. Prabhushree. He had practiced the principle of truth by thought, word and deed in its subtlest form HE HAD ACTUALLY SHOWN IN PRACTICE WHAT A HIGH HEIGHT OF TRUTH CAN BE PRACTICED IN SOCIAL DEALINGS. Thus, in this manner, not merely had He given a principle but also had explained clearly the background of social dealings in practicing truth in daily life. And thus, whatever He had shown was the highest ideal of the principle of truth, a complete yardstick.
By practising truth in such a perfect manner, He had to endure great hardships. If we look into its depth, then it would be noticed, that it was the climax of quality of forbearance. Thus, establishing a principle in its highest dignity is possible only when there is adequately sufficient penance in the form of ‘Titixa’ i.e. forbearance present in its foundation.
Now, we will make an attempt to know something about truth from His life.
In His personal life there were many principles-rules. Because of significant importance of spirituality, He used to observe every Niyam i.e. rule regularly and to the fullest extent even by enduring hardships more than His physique could bear. He had never given even any slightest leeway in any Rule. He used to practice in his own way many matters relating to the ‘Truth’. No one could have any linking of the same. But when (we) used to ask, then only used to clarify his reasons.
He had mainly to experience financial hardships due to practice of ‘Truth’. In His life, rightly earned income was only acceptable. And that is why He could take money subjected to from only those persons who were practicing ‘Truth’ in life. As a result the required amount could not be obtained easily. In this manner, His economic difficulty continued to remain always a ‘mental penance’ for Him. Moreover, for the sake of purification of ‘False-Karmas’ or that of any costly object found to be smeared with falsehood had to be consigned to water. Thus, in the end of economic loss had to be sustained on that account.
Thus, in this manner, in comparison hardly any other spiritual person in the world would have sustained the economic hardships to extent to which Rev. Prabhushree had to sustain.
He never entertained any fear within Himself in telling the ‘Truth’ to anyone. When He found it necessary to tell ‘Truth’ to a proper person, at the proper time then He used to tell it to him in sweet words. By telling ‘Truth’ in this way, sometimes the devotees who were nearer to Him were pained. And in the end, their inner-opposition used to someone to create non-co-operation in the very work of Rev. Prabhushree. So in the end, it was Rev. Prabhushree who had to suffer. He used to tell that His very work was that of Establishment of An Age of truth, so how can a work be done if He did not tell the ‘Truth’ to anyone? In this manner He used to clarify any ‘truth’ to experienced by him within himself whether it may be pertaining to an individual or to public life. In this way, he clarified the shortcomings of great men in the field of religion or any other field before the devotees of His inner circle at the appropriate time and place.
Along with spiritual truths He had also observed the accepted worldly laws in letter and spirit. When it came to His notice, that any of His devotees had broken the prevailing general law, then He used to admonish him and make him perform penance ‘Prayashchit’ i.e. make him perform penance with a view to undoing the sin. According to Him, public laws should be in conformity with higher ideals of spirituality and morality. However, complete observance of every prevailing law falls within the preview of observance truth.
When any idea arose in the mind of Rev. Prabhushree, then that thought itself used to become a ‘Truth’. And hence, many a times, it had been noticed that a thought expressed by Him during a casual talk about Himself could be seen later on in action in His social dealings.
Even in very small matters about observance of truth, He used to take such a great care that if during the talk on casual occasions, if He had committed some slight error in speaking, even then upon remembering it afterwards He used to clarify the same. Never did he hide any mistake committed by Him in His past personal life. Similarly, He used to tell even in public, if found necessary, the good and bad qualities of the devotees. In this manner, His love of ‘Truth’ could be seen in every work of His life.
Along these lines, it is possible to narrate innumerable anecdotes about practice of truth in the life of Rev. Prabhushree, but it is not possible to do so here.
